Working full time, going to school, being a mom and wife- it’s difficult to juggle most of the time. People are always so amazed at how I “always get it done”. Let me tell you, I’m not quite sure how I manage everything. It’s true what they say, you make it work. Here’s how a typical week day goes for me:
**assuming baby slept through the night**
**on school days, this is when I would drive ~4 hours, roundtrip, to class and Husband picks up baby, I get home around 11 pm and re-stock diaper bag/lunchbox for next day**
This description is not as simple and straight forward as it seems. There are dogs, sickness, travel, appointments, and just life in general that is all weaved in and out of this depending on the day. I actually have to remind myself to feed ME and pack for ME (crazy!). It’s exhausting, but rewarding! How do I keep it all together (haha)? I created this simple planner. It helps keep me focused throughout the day.
Some days it feels like everything is slipping away from my finger-tips and I am on the verge of losing all control- dramatic, I know. Stating 1 thing that I am grateful for each day helps keep me grounded, even if it is so minute. Concentrating on 3 goals for each day is another way of staying afloat. Again, these can be minute things, but it keeps your eye on the prize and leaves you with a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. Let’s face it, some days it feels like it's Life-1, Mom-0…
