As you all (hopefully) can see by now, I am on the path to become a Holistic Health Coach. I'm midway through the program at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and I am loving it! Health coaching will allow me to work with motivated Moms who are striving to be their best selves- how amazing is that?! Well, it got me thinking…how can I make a suggestion that someone, for example, drop gluten from their diet when I haven't done it myself? So here I am, gluten free for the month of September. I'm planning to track how I'm doing each week and I'll report it here. I'll talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly! I hope you'll follow along with me on this adventure. Before I get started, I wanted to share that I do not believe gluten is bad (for everyone), I believe in the concept of Bio-individuality:
Bio-individuality is the concept that each person has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person's food is another person's poison, and that's why fad diets tend to fail in the long run.
Have you ever attempted to take gluten out of your diet? If so, how did it go?
Here goes nothing, cheers!
